A Year In Review with Charlotte + her adorable Baptism and Cake Smash Session
The day has finally arrived, Charlotte's one year photo session! Although it is bitter-sweet knowing how fast time has flown by, I am very happy to have seen this little girl grow up right in front of my lens. Charlotte definitely has my heart and gives me MAJOR baby fever! I first met Charlotte and her parent's a year ago for the baby's newborn pictures. I remember bringing a TON of props and not bringing ANY of it down when I saw their home. Look how tiny baby Charlotte was. I couldn't ask for a better newborn, slept right through the entire session.
Melanie (Charly's mommy) contacted me again for the six months baptism and the one year which I was ECSTATIC for! We decided to do her six month pictures at the beach since Melanie's maternity pictures were at the beach.
Charlotte's Baptism images are breath taking! Melanie mentioned that her parent's bought her christening dress in Paris. How fabulous is that? Melanie also incorporated her grandmother's rosary which is the rosary Charlotte is holding in some of the photographs. Sidenote! (I was really close to my grandma, so any time that a client brings something from their grandmother it just warms my heart)
She looks like a doll! She gives these beautiful smiles but a lot of the time she gives these delicious looks that I just can't help but to wonder how her parent's go to work in the morning.
...and my favorite part, the cake smash!
What I always love about cake smash sessions is seeing how the munchkin reacts towards the treat. Some don't want to touch it, some don't like the cake, some just play with the frosting and others just like Charlotte, dive head first into the cake.
A BIG Happy Birthday to this beautiful princess and a big thank you to Melanie and Luis for allowing me to share all these special milestone's with their family. My dream was not only to become a portrait photographer but to build lifetime relationships with clients and we have done just that. I can not begin to describe how special I feel to be able to experience moments like these with such a beautiful family!
